craft: comics newspaper box

You know those storage boxes you buy at craft stores and whatnot? I can never find any in colors/patterns that I like, yuck! So I bought one with an american flag pattern, and gave it a much needed makeover. All you need to do is cut out strips/pieces of newspaper or photos & attack it with Mod Podge. Make sure you fold down and overlap the edges onto the bottom…I forgot to do that. oops! Also, one more layer of Modge Podge would have been a bit better too.
I’m kind of a zine addict, and this box holds a good amount of my collection. I had the idea to use newspaper pages, because it gives a tiny hint as to what’s inside :)

This is so clever! It reminds me of how my boyfriend sometimes wraps gifts in comics (though it seems now he’s graduated onto brown paper, like paper bags).

Also, thanks for stopping by my blog! I’m rather in love with yours, so I’m following back. :)

That’s a great way to store zines! I always had a hard time trying to figure out where to put them that seemed appropriate. Lining them up like books does no good!
