Just wanted to stop by and say that Completely Unfinished has a new look! The old layout has been up since June, and was definitely in need of a refresh & more organization. I’m still tweaking a couple things–mostly in the sidebar. Jump out of your reader and check it out :)

I’m always super stoked about the first of the month! I designed a wallpaper back in the fall and wanted to share another one after the idea of argyle + hearts popped into my head. Right click & open in a new window to save the image.

This year I designed my own simple holiday cards..I wanted to share :) These I made for my brother and parents. I wanted my brother’s to say ‘Happy Christmas’ because of this song by John Lennon we play on guitar together every year. He and my dad gave me a good idea for next years card based on the song, too!

I was set on wrapping my gifts differently this year, and I really wanted to use brown wrapping paper after seeing so many pretty wrapped gifts on the internet. Plus, last year I used newspaper & I thought i’d do something a bit more classy ;) I used two different stamps, and made a couple pompoms. I really wanted to use green yarn but I used what I had–black & green/yellow/red/orange.

I also made and printed my gift tags..my mom loved them!

Another thing I included on the gifts were a couple marble magnets I whipped up. I put them in a tiny baggie, folded & stapled some cardstock over the top, and punched a hole through all the layers. I really like how it turned out!

How did you wrap your gifts this year? Did you do something different? ♥

Jessica wanted something soft, non-girly, and with subtle hints at faith and what her blog is about [which I totally agreed with.] It was a bit out of my style, but I love branching out. I used hanging photos to represent the topics of her blog, and we worked together to create something she loved. I absolutely could not have asked for a better client! Jessica was a joy to work with and was totally enthusiastic, thorough, and all around just great.

Putting together the graphic made me think about the goals I have for the fresh new month..I have a feeling this is going to be a good one.

Goals for November:
-Get rid of 1/2 of my stuff
-Finish my personal zine
-Keep off the weight that I lost

♥ Get rid of 1/2 of my stuff. This is probably going to be the hardest goal. Im planning on a move in the near future, but I can’t do that with the mass amount of *stuff* that I have! Also another aim of mine is to ‘rebuild’ my wardrobe with more things I love & feel great in, but I can’t with everything I don’t wear & hang on to. I’m drowning in stuff and I keep saying that i’m going to do a huge ebay selling overhaul, but I always procrastinate it. This is the month!

♥ Finish my personal zine. I’ve been working on a personal zine for quite some time now..maybe a year? I still haven’t finished it/printed it out/or thought of a name yet. I have a feeling part of the reason is because I tell myself i’m not a good writer & that i’m not writing anything unique. I need to stop caring & cut to the chase and finish this thing!

♥ Keep off the lost weight. Last week I did a 3 day raw food/smoothie cleanse and I dropped a bit of weight. It feels so good but I have this sinking feeling that it’s all going to creep back (like it usually does)..I’m afraid to weight myself now! So instead of a goal like ‘exercise more’ or ‘eat better’ I’m just going to shoot for doing both and keeping the weight off.

Do you have any big goals for this month?

Well I finally designed some business cards for myself..does this mean i’m a real person now? ;) I got them printed from Moo & i’m super happy with how they came out! That’s my fancy logo on the back. Way glad I have something to hand out now when someone’s interested in what I do.

Along with these new cards & in an effort to always make things more aesthetically pleasing, I added some art to my cubicle at work. I’m way guilty of snapping shots of & collecting everything that catches my eye..whether it’s nice typography in a grocery store, a dress in a shop I could make myself, or just something that inspires in some way. This is when cell phones really come in handy!

A bit of time ago my boyfriend Matt had a great idea for a new blog & asked me if I wanted to be his partner in crime. Of course I was down for that! If you couldn’t guess, we’re both vegans..this is our collaboration where we post veggie filled recipes, restaurant reviews, and more with a good dose of silliness. I designed the layout..it was my first time making a custom theme in Tumblr but i’m getting the hang of it! Check it out if it’s up your alley ♥

This weekend I put together a new design for the blog. I wasn’t really diggin’ the black header that was up, I wanted a lot of white space and a simple design. Inspiration for the colors came from the color scheme of my bedroom, lime green & hot pink! I’m still messing with the sidebar a bit. Also, have I mentioned how much I <3 WordPress? Because I do.

A flyer I designed for the Ocean City Beach Fest, which was yesterday. The fest is held annually in New Jersey on the boardwalk, over ten bands scheduled to play & the proceeds from the event tickets go to disaster relief victims. My band was included to play the festival and I was excited about the road trip, music, and hanging out on the boardwalk. Although, unfortunately we didn’t end up attending or playing (long story!) I used one of my photos from my recent trip to the Jersey Shore area.

Remember a while ago I was talking about working on some new projects I was excited about? Well this is one of them..the demo from my all-girl pop-punk band. We recently had some time to record the last song for it, and we needed artwork to finish it up. This is what I came up with!

I went with blocky bold fonts, a broken television idea, hot pink hues, grungy graphics, and a silly photo of us. This was super fun to make.
