I am the happiest i’ve been in a long time. Life is beautiful. That is all.

My To Do List for today. As you can see, i’m planning to have a very productive day. Let’s see how it turns out.

I spent my week in Florida. Mostly Fort Lauderdale, to be exact. I was a bit reluctant to go at first because it was just me with my parents & a few of their friends (my brother Mikey didn’t want to go.) But I am totally glad i did go. It was a nice little getaway & the weather was awesome…it only rained once for about 20 minutes the whole week we were there!
One of the first nights we ended up doing Karaoke on a whim…needless to say it was a hilarious night. There were a lot of drinks involved, and yes i did sing. On Tuesday I told my dad about a record store down the road so we headed over & stumbled upon some cute shops in the area. I got a Dance Hall Crashers vinyl (even though i keep telling myself i need a vinyl break due to lack of funds!) I went in an adorable store with vintage clothes, & i got a late lunch from Pizza Fusion. There’s no pizza places near me on Long Island with vegan pizza on the menu so naturally i got really excited. Not as good as the vegan pizza that my school surprisingly had, but it was definitely yummy.

Wednesday consisted of an all day adventure to Port Saint Lucie, where the house is that my parents bought. Someday after they rent the house for a few years it will be partially mine to stay in :] The house needs a ton of work right now, but it definitely has potential.

We looked in the shops in the town of Stewart, but unfortunately most of them were closed. We did go to a thrift store (there were so many in the area!) and i got a sweet shirt for a buck. Later at a bar there was this really bizarre/neat looking bird (i forget what kind..) and luckily i got some pics.

The last day we went to “The Bonnet House”–I had no idea what it was for years but we finally went and it consists of some pretty gardens & a museum.

Then at night we walked around the strip of A1A.

Even though it feels like the season is half over, it is now officially summer. These are (some of) my summer goals i’ve declared.
♥ do as many things as possible
♥ exercise a whole lot
♥ take every opportunity that comes to me
♥ meet new people
♥ get rid of/sell everything i don’t use
♥ get up before 9 am
♥ take pictures of everything
I’ve already been doing some of them. I started a morning/exercise routine when school ended, which is:
-not sleeping in
-eating a healthy breakfast
-lifting weights
-walking, rollerblading, or biking
and i feel so much more productive & happy after getting up and exercising.
i’m going to get some rollerskates sometime in the near future and start doing that as well!
The past week of my life has included graduating from college and moving back home to Long Island. It took me a few days to unpack all of my things and figure out a way to fit all of it back into my bedroom…and I STILL have things in boxes that have no place to go. I’ve been doing a bit of a room makeover & am on a misson to declutter and get rid of tons of things I no longer want/need. I started selling some clothes online, threw some stuff out, and I have bags of things I need to drop off at Goodwill. I got rid of my desktop computer and now have space on my desk, which i’m soo excited about. (pictures of that later)
While cleaning out my basement, I found this rad old wood chair that I knew had potential. My dad told me I could have it, and I headed over to the hardware store to get some paint. Apparently if you go to Lowe’s you can get a small sample can of paint for only 3 bucks! The can was large enough for the two coats of paint I needed for the chair, pretty good deal in my opinion.

For the leopard spots, I started off using a stencil but instead ended up free-handing it. Strangely enough the inspiration for the color of the chair and the color scheme of my room came from the Sex Pistols “Never Mind the Bollocks” album. AKA my lime green walls and my pink sheets/pink chair. On to more bedroom craft projects.
