With the new year & my 24th birthday next month, I thought it was a good time for some new focuses. These are my bigger-than-to-do-list goals i’m aiming to accomplish before next year. I started this list a couple months ago, so I already completed a few!

1– visit a new state
2– finish my personal zine
3– table at a craft fair
4– try roller derby DONE
5– volunteer somewhere
6– learn to surf
7– record a demo & design it
8– eat only raw food for a week
9– become financially independent
10– lose 5 pounds DONE / lose 10 pounds
11– list 50 things on ebay
12– start a savings account DONE
13– giveaway on my blog
14– reach 100 blog followers DONE
15– provide custom blog designs
16– host a potluck
17– sell prints on etsy
18– take a yoga class again
19– move!
20– start a vintage clothes wardrobe
21– take a knitting class
22– design and print business cards DONE
23– plant a garden
24– start saving a trip fund
25– adopt a cat

Also, it’s been a whole year since I started full-force blogging. Since then, this little blog has gotten more than 100 followers…i’m so stoked & thankful! I have lots planned this year, and definitely more frequent posts. I’m beyond excited for 2012 ♥

November desktop calendar & goals

I made a quick little desktop background that i’m sharing for download. I used my favorite pumpkin carving photo to keep the theme going into November…I just can’t get enough of pumpkins :]

Putting together the graphic made me think about the goals I have for the fresh new month..I have a feeling this is going to be a good one.

Goals for November:
-Get rid of 1/2 of my stuff
-Finish my personal zine
-Keep off the weight that I lost

Get rid of 1/2 of my stuff. This is probably going to be the hardest goal. Im planning on a move in the near future, but I can’t do that with the mass amount of *stuff* that I have! Also another aim of mine is to ‘rebuild’ my wardrobe with more things I love & feel great in, but I can’t with everything I don’t wear & hang on to. I’m drowning in stuff and I keep saying that i’m going to do a huge ebay selling overhaul, but I always procrastinate it. This is the month!

Finish my personal zine. I’ve been working on a personal zine for quite some time now..maybe a year? I still haven’t finished it/printed it out/or thought of a name yet. I have a feeling part of the reason is because I tell myself i’m not a good writer & that i’m not writing anything unique. I need to stop caring & cut to the chase and finish this thing!

Keep off the lost weight. Last week I did a 3 day raw food/smoothie cleanse and I dropped a bit of weight. It feels so good but I have this sinking feeling that it’s all going to creep back (like it usually does)..I’m afraid to weight myself now! So instead of a goal like ‘exercise more’ or ‘eat better’ I’m just going to shoot for doing both and keeping the weight off.

here’s my 2010 recap post & things that stuck out to me:

turned 22, got my first tattoo, met a rad boy, started work on a freelance identity, graduated college, went on geocaching adventures, walked/jogged almost every day of the summer, was part of a music video, went to Montauk point for the first time in years, joined an all-girl band, got my first post-college job, played in a battle of the bands in NYC, lots of fun city trips.

it was a pretty great year, with quite a bit of changes in my life. i moved back home after spending four years away at school, graduated & got a new job, and i had probably the best summer of my life..i can confidently say that i was always doing something rad!

Even though it feels like the season is half over, it is now officially summer. These are (some of) my summer goals i’ve declared.

♥ do as many things as possible
♥ exercise a whole lot
♥ take every opportunity that comes to me
♥ meet new people
♥ get rid of/sell everything i don’t use
♥ get up before 9 am
♥ take pictures of everything

I’ve already been doing some of them. I started a morning/exercise routine when school ended, which is:
-not sleeping in
-eating a healthy breakfast
-lifting weights
-walking, rollerblading, or biking

and i feel so much more productive & happy after getting up and exercising.
i’m going to get some rollerskates sometime in the near future and start doing that as well!
