What I Accomplished, List inspiration

Friday, May 6th, 2011

Happy Friday!

This is a list I made of everything I got done on my day off earlier in the week. Sometimes when it’s the end of the day I get discouraged because I feel like I didn’t get enough done. I’m always feeling like i need to do more. In reality, i’m kind of a busybody and I know that I DO get things done, I’m not a lazy person, and I always like to be doing something. As a list making addict, I got the idea to write out a list of things I accomplished for the day, so I can really see all that i’ve done. Seeing things written out really puts it all into perspective, and gives me that extra push when i’m not feeling totally motivated. Feels good, huzzah!

I’ve been having a pretty lazy morning today, just editing photos and reading blogs. Time to head out in this nice weather and go for a walk :)

Do you love to make lists, too?

Clean Desk = Love

Thursday, March 31st, 2011

It feels so great to have a clean desk. Whenever I do clean it, I instantly feel more organized & being productive comes way easier. Pretty sure my desk is my favorite place/thing in my bedroom.
♥ New notepad–for list making!
♥ Planner
♥ Macbook [in need of a new one]

♥ Not pictured: my sewing machines to the left & my paper lantern
♥ Painted old frame with clothespins holding graphic inspiration
♥ My cameras (minus my polaroid) & new mini zen garden
♥ Painting found while thrifting in Florida. I love it so much..I need to find a place to hang it on my busy walls. I absolutely can’t wait until I have my own place & will have a blank canvas to load with decor & art.

P.S.- I made a new header & have been messing around a bit with the design (not sure if I like it!) so excuse how the blog looks right now. ♥ Amie

Gettin’ inspired, Thrifting

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011

While doing some design work today, I took a break and headed out to the library to get some books to look through for inspiration.

I got two graphic design books, one gorgeous photography book..plus a book about thrifting.
Coincidently, I went thrifting after that. If you don’t know me very well, let me just tell you that it’s one of my favorite things to do. I adore looking through various old things…things you wouldn’t normally find…and the thrill of not knowing what exactly you might find. I get super inspired looking at so many unique things…I rush on my way home because I feel a burst of creativity.

I had good luck with finding awesome art this week..huzzah! I was instantly attracted to that framed “Resistance” art and I had to have it. There’s a name of an organization in Vermont on the bottom of the artwork..i’m going to look it up later today. Another thing I love about thrifting is not knowing/finding out where something came from. I’m really curious. That’s a leopard print sweater that’s brand new. I’m going to wear it to work tomorrow.

Tomorrow Will Be

Wednesday, January 12th, 2011

During this time of year, I almost always get the winter blues. I get into funks, miss the warm weather & being outside, and it really gets me down sometimes. I know a ton of people go through this also, so I took this photo today as a pick-me-up. No matter what’s going on & how much you think something sucks…tomorrow is a different day, a fresh start, and it’ll get better. Sleep on it & cheer up! [Inspired by the song 'Tomorrow will be' by Discount which has been stuck in my head lately]

design i like.
